its a bit odd to get used to at first but I love the new style and design.:) and throwing in the old version is great too.;) I have 3Gs and it works perfectly fine for me.no slow down whats so ever.what I would like to see from taito next is a rainbow islands of some sort.that would be fantastic on the iPad and iPhone.:) great taito keep it up.;)
but why dud u enlarge the screen for vertical only? its not comfortable to hold it that way! enlarge the screen horiz as well!!! great game tho.. Im gonna finish it with no continues.
The price seems high, but i still love this classic!
The good: Great Classic game!! Works well, plays well. High replay factor. Same game I spent endless hours on years ago! Can play in landscape or portrait modes.
The bad: Actual play screen is reduced in size so dramatically, less than half of iPhone screen is used for gameplay. It feels really small, especially when there is so much unused space onscreen. left wondering why?! Hope improvements to the size of the screen are coming!
Maybe overlay the controls on the play screen instead of reducing the screen so much to fit in 3 buttons in!? Ive seen other classic games implement "see thru" buttons with good success.

How bout you make a skin for your phone that gives you the feel of actually pressing buttons.. For this game and any jailbroken emulators..

This is a game I grew up with and passionately loved for 20 yrs now!!
This makes angry birds boring! THIS is a real game!! This is one of the greatest games made of all time! And in my personal Top 10 fav of all time.

Devs: plz update game buy making vertical screen larger as its too small. Also I die sometimes cause the joystick sometimes doesnt respond when switching directions fast. $3 would be a more balanced price and will get more ppl to buy from you.
Players: U can continue levels after dying by pulling the dragon down the ladder using the joystick on the second start screen.

Same complaint as everyone else, the screen size is WAY TOO SMALL!!!!. This takes away from the ejoyablilty and half the time I dont feel like playing it because of that issue. If Taito would make it bigger in their next update Id change my rating to 5 stars.

I bought this game for the iPhone 3G as I love the classic mode and was hoping for a good on the go version of Bubble Bobble.
Sadly it runs at a snails pace and is unplayable. Even trying to get support on Taitos web site is useless. At the time of writing this review the game isnt listed on their web site and the support link takes you to a terms and conditions for using the site. Avoid buying this game.
They need to make the original version full screen. Anyone who buys this wants the classic version and could care less about the crappy new version. Update to full screen please!
Bought this cause I loved the original standup arcade game.
The controls are terrible.
Could have used a graphical refresh for that price. No multiplayer over wifi Bluetooth or random online. The new gameplay mode is awful. Id sooner have had the sequel that had the orange and pink dudes.
Music audio isnt the same as I remember from the NES. small screen size; _VERY OVER-PRICED_ imho. Suggest you wait until a newer version is released and reviews imply improvement.
